1980s L.A. Scenic Drive

Driving around Los Angeles in the '80s was totally different than it is today.  Less traffic, but more smog.  Smaller skyline, but way better music.

In the 1980s, L.A. was all about New Wave, Valley Girls, the Rams and KROQ.  The clubs were hot, the hair was crazy, and the freeways were actually fun to drive.

For your viewing pleasure (or torture), here's a three-part video that a "time traveler" from the '80s filmed while driving through downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverly Hills in 1985.

Seriously gnarly and totally awesome, dudes.

If you remember driving around L.A. in the 1980s, prepare to be time-warped and spellbound by this video.  If you weren't yet born in the '80s, you will think you've been transported to some alien post-nuclear world.  Don't be scared.

This California blog claims no responsibility for any flashbacks or freakouts you may experience, and you are solely responsible for finding your way back to the 21st century.  Good luck.
