The Independent Californian
Wednesday, April 28, 2010
Californians are changing. The spirit of independence is sweeping the Golden State faster than the Santa Ana Winds can spread a California wildfire.
What used to be "we", "us" and "ours" is quickly changing to "I", "me" and "mine" in the minds of increasingly independent Californians.
The "ME" State
The control and influence of big corporations and big government are giving way to a renewed sense of self-reliance in the most famous land of immigrants and entrepreneurs.
Californians now want to do it for themselves.
Disillusioned with what is seen as state government indifference, and disappointed with perceived corporate greed, residents of the Golden State are waking up and pulling themselves up by the bootstraps.
Self-preservation is kicking-in. Many California immigrants have reminded themselves of why they moved to California in the first place. Independence is at the top of the list with Opportunity a close second.
Most folks did not leave their entire lives behind in other states and nations just to join some group in California.
Native Californians have been reminded lately that handing over their money, time, energy, attention, hopes and ambitions to corporations and government is a losing game. The average Californian feels ripped-off.
The average California consumer, and voter, wants to feel PERSONALLY EMPOWERED now.
California's Independent Spirit
It would be wise for California's candidates for public offices to heed the current change of motivation in the hearts of voters. Folks want to support a candidate who is an INDEPENDENT leader who has INDEPENDENT ideas and recognizes the INDEPENDENT spirit in the average Californian.
Providing a plan to make California, itself, INDEPENDENT is the ultimate way to a forward-thinking Californian's vote today.
A state that generates its own income, pays its own bills and manages its own affairs, INDEPENDENTLY, sounds mighty appealing to voters who feel "sold down the river" by Washington DC, big corporations and globalists.
Tea Party rallies, church meetings, town halls, university campus events, the Libertarian movement and radical changes in consumer spending all show that Californians are taking back their POWER.
California voters have confused many a politician with historical INDEPENDENCE, and unpredictability, when casting a vote. Labels such as "Democrat" and "Republican" are more important to team-choosing mainstream media reporters than to average Californians.
California has its own constitution. Politicians and corporations which honor and promote the INDEPENDENT nature of that document will enjoy great success by knowing exactly what kind of independent individual they are marketing to.
