Be California Blonde!
May 16, 2010
There are blondes, then there are California blondes. What's the difference? What's so great about being a California blonde?
I'm told, by many blondes in California, that if "blondes have more fun", California blondes HAVE IT ALL. One thing is for sure, though. They sure get a lot of attention.
Personally, I think that hair color is just hair color. The "California" part of blondeness is an attitude, a confidence, a gregarious vibe. Getting a lot of heads turning is definitely a benefit for those who want the attention.
Most California blondes are (shock!) fake blondes. The Golden State is the "bottle blonde" capitol of the world. Southern California has the highest concentration of bleach blondes. L.A. is totally the Blonde Mecca.
Worldwide, many people assume that the "Hollywood Bleach-Out" is like a religious California ritual for newcomers. Not true. California still allows non-blondes to become citizens --- for now.
Legendary California blondes include Marilyn Monroe, Farrah Fawcett, Heather Locklear, Christina Augilera, Angelyne, Nancy Sinatra, Jessica Simpson, Pamela Anderson, Mamie Van Doren, Courtney Love, Mae West, Suzanne Somers, Britney Spears, Jean Harlow, Cameron Diaz, Michelle Phillips, Paris Hilton, Goldie Hawn and, of course, Barbie.
Many have made the decision to "go blonde" for a career, for a relationship, for attention, or just for the fun of it. Are you thinking about doing it? You really don't have to live in California to have the appeal of a totally-hot California blonde. Most of it has to do with attitude anyway, right?
California seriously rocks, though.
What about the dumb blonde jokes? Gold-digger accusations? Jealous non-blondes? That's so lame. Everyone else can just get over it. No biggie, really. Just think how empowered you'll feel when you flip your hair, flutter your eyelashes and say, "Like --- anyway --- what-EVER".
Whether you wanna be a total Valley Girl, a kamikaze blonde bombshell, a hot beach bunny --- or just legally blonde for your driver's license --- you can totally do it. Easily.
"When the wannabe blonde student is ready, the teacher will come."
Be California Blonde!
