"California Dorks" Jason Munday

Sep 5, 2010

"California Dorks" is a 2010 parody of Katy Perry's megahit #1 song, "California Gurls"

YouTube star Jason Munday delivers a performance which honors all California dorks, dweebs, nerds and geeks.

Katy Perry's summer smash is the song that launched a thousand parodies.  The best parody of all, even after three months of repeated listening, is Jason Munday's "California Dorks" --- hands down.

After all, California just wouldn't be 'California' without tech-savvy dork-studs, now would it?  If it's true that "geeks are sexy", then Silicon Valley is in competition with the 'Silicone' Valley.

Jason Munday, also known as the act Skyway Flyer, is a creative, enterprising young singer, songwriter and music producer who knew how to quickly spot a hot music trend and ride the crest of the wave all summer long.

"California Dorks" became a YouTube summer smash in its own right, and buzz about the parody still goes around.  It really is a cool video.  I totally dig it.

If you live in the Golden State, but you've forgotten where you are, Jason Munday will remind you where you're totally at with one of the funniest songs about California ever, dude.
