"California Wildflower" Ted Russell Kamp

"California Wildflower" is a 2011 California song by Los Angeles singer/songwriter Ted Russell Kamp.

A cool California country-rock song, Kamp's "California Wildflower" is from his 2011 album, Get Back To The Land, which has already debuted at #1 on at least one Americana music chart.

While Ted Russell Kamp sounds great with his fantastic band, I chose to feature a video (below) of Kamp belting out "California Wildflower" solo with an acoustic guitar.

The raw passion of the songwriter is very hip.

Kamp sounds a little Springsteen-ish, the song is slightly Eagles-ish, and the guitar is a tad Mellencamp-ish, but it's totally digable.

This catchy new song is one of the many cool songs about California being released these days, though it doesn't sound like the others.  Kamp's tune is grittier, which is way cool.
