California Red Tide Apocalypse

September 30, 2011

California's red tide by day and glow-in-the-dark waves by night have got a lot of people freaked out.

Stretches along the scenic California Coast have tourists snapping photos of a real-time California apocalypse as the sea turns to blood before their very eyes.

Over the past few weeks, the Plague of the Crimson Tide has been building along the Pacific shoreline.

Recently the surf has begun to turn electric neon blue at night as bioluminescence emerges from the enveloping darkness.

Totally freaky, dude.

San Diego beaches, where millions tan, surf and frolic, have turned into a hellish revelation as the ocean turns to blood, then to glowing neon, every 12 hours.

The phytoplankton, called lingulodinium polyedrum, is expected by scientists to hang around into 2012.

Where else can you experience a psychedelic apocalypse straight out of Bible prophecy?  Only in California?

The red tide phenomenon is spreading like an ancient Egyptian plague against the Pharoah, many have observed.

That, of course, would require a national leader who has hardened his heart against Israel.

That, of course, is not the case... is it?

Watch the following San Diego red tide video and discover how you feel...

...amid an atmosphere of bioluminescent darkness.

Punished for Saying "Bless You"

September 29, 2011

Saying "bless you" after someone sneezes is offensive speech now in California and may get the offender punished.

For daring to utter the words "bless you", a student at William C. Wood High School in Vacaville, California has been punished by health teacher Steve Cuckovich.

Mr. Cuckovich took 25 points off the student's grade as an example to deter other students from uttering "bless you" or any other religious phrase that the teacher deems inappropriate.

"The blessing really doesn't make sense," Cuckovich declared.

Parents of Woods High students are outraged. They insist that what does not make sense is that a public school teacher would go to extreme lengths to punish a student for words that are harmless and polite.

Many parents are calling the "bless you" punishment ridiculous, offensive and persecutory against religion.

While the California high school is trying to spin its way out of damage control, the teacher is still saying that he will not allow anyone to say "bless you". He will simply find some other way to punish offenders.

The Vacaville "bless you" controversy is just one more example of what many California Christians perceive as increasing anti-Christian, anti-religion persecution in the taxpayer-funded public schools of the Golden State.

Recently, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, California made high school math teacher Brad Johnson remove two patriotic banners he has displayed in his classroom for 25 years that mentioned God.

Also, a 16-year-old high school student in El Cajon, California was humiliated and suspended for bringing the Bible to school.

All this, combined with the current situation in San Juan Capistrano, where an "illegal" home Bible study was threatened and fined, makes more and more people question what's going on in California.

It's a spiritual war, that's what's going on.

Dare to say "bless you", pray, show patriotism, or carry a Bible and find yourself persecuted in California.

Chris Christie California Speech

Chris Christie's speech at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California thrilled hundreds of Republicans, including Nancy Reagan.

Gov. Chris Christie had GOP members begging him to run for the 2012 presidential nomination but, alas, the east coast politician graciously declined.

Most supporters are now looking forward to a Christie bid for the presidency in four years.

"It's extraordinarily flattering," said Christie after being urged to reconsider a 2012 campaign for the White House.

Governor Christie is in California collecting financial contributions this week, though, at events in Beverly Hills, Orange County and Silicon Valley.

Some wonder what all the California money is really for, exactly.

During his keynote address at the Reagan Library, Chris Christie paid tribute to President Reagan, stirring the audience to patriotism and extreme emotion.

Christie thanked Nancy Reagan for the invitation and threw punches at Obama, declaring that the president is trying to "divide our nation to achieve reelection" (video below).

Dennis Miller and Herman Cain

September 27, 2011

Montecito Republican libertarian Dennis Miller has endorsed Herman Cain for the Republican nomination for president.

Dennis Miller is the co-star of "Miller Time", a regular feature during The O'Reilly Factor on the FOX News Channel.

Miller voiced his support for Herman Cain's presidential bid on his nationally syndicated radio talk show after donating to the Herman Cain for President campaign.

"Can I tell you how jazzed I am for this cat? How proud I am of him hanging in there?" said Miller of Herman Cain.

The former Saturday Night Live star would like to participate in a political fundraiser for Cain in Los Angeles.

"I'd like to thank him for his support. I look forward to working with him as we continue our journey to the White House!" declared the 2012 Republican presidential candidate.

Miller has shown support for Herman Cain over the last few months months but the broadcaster has now officially endorsed the Republican candidate who recently won a dramatic GOP Straw Poll landslide victory.

Miller's pet slogan for the Herman Cain for President campaign against Barack Obama is "Cain vs Unable."

California Volcano Apocalypse

September 26, 2011

Is a volcano apocalypse coming to California?  With warnings of supermoons, superstorms, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes and end of the world predictions, volcanoes are now being discussed as a new threat.

Most people around the world refer to California as the 'Disaster Capitol of the World' and, yes, it often seems warranted.  Volcanoes, eruptions, magma, lava and volcanic ash, though, have not been commonly considered...

...until now.

Spots of smoking earth are popping up in Santa Barbara County, Ventura County and Los Angeles County.  Heat and smoke are coming up from under the ground for "no apparent reason" close to cities and towns.

A few weeks ago, the Pisgah Crater in San Bernardino County began spewing smoke and ash over the Mojave Desert of Southern California, though officials are strangely quiet on the subject.

There are volcanoes up and down the Golden State and, in fact, most of California's geology was formed by volcanic activity.  Mainstream media and government officials, however, are playing down any threat of a California volcano apcalypse.

Everyone can just go back to their suburban shopping malls, apparently.

That would be easy enough for most Californians but, with an October end of the world prediction and an approaching Black Friday Supermoon in November, many feel a little apprehensive.

Most of the rumblings are now occurring on all sides of Los Angeles, as small to medium sized earthquakes are now increasing in Southern California.

It is simply a question that will not go away:  Are volcanoes and earthquakes about to unleash the fury of hell in California?

California Earthquake Warning Hysteria

California earthquake warnings are filling up the Internet, with more warnings of seismic doom with each new day.

An earthquake warning for nearly all of California's 58 counties can be found today, ahead of 11-11-11 and the November 25th earthquake Super Moon.

The November Black Friday Supermoon is anticipated to be apocalyptic --- if we're all still around after the ominous date of 11-11-11.

Why all the California earthquake warnings?  Who are they coming from? What is causing the current California earthquake warning hysteria?

Not surprisingly, most of the quake warnings have to do with the Los Angeles metropolitan area and the San Francisco Bay Area, where tens  of millions of people are concentrated.

Earthquake magnitudes of 7.8, 8.3, 9.0 and 10.3 on the Richter scale are the most common seismic numbers being thrown around the web regarding California earthquakes in the immediate future.

Amateur seismologists, retired geologists, 'earthquake-sensitives', religious prophets, psychics and astrologers are all chiming in with warnings about the Hayward Fault, the San Andreas Fault, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and California sinking into the Pacific Ocean.

Usually, these types of apocalyptic prognostications are reserved for the turn of a century or the 2012 phenomenon.  What's going on?

Some say the earth's rotation is slowing down, while others say that the planet is about to experience a pole shift.

There are those who insist that the military's HAARP project is stimulating seismic activity along earthquake faults via satellite transmission of electromagnetic pulses.

Key phrases like "end of the world", "apocalypse", "tribulation", "the big one", "judgment day", "holocaust", "California earthquake", "Los Angeles earthquake" and "San Francisco earthquake" are epidemic on the Internet in 2011.

This California blog is bombarded daily with thousands of warnings of doom and destruction for the Golden State.

It's true that earthquakes are popping up seemingly everywhere these days, but is The Big One really about to strike California?

Could the end really be near?

Government officials are really not saying much on the subject.

Sure, there was a NASA video on the web recently, featuring an official encouraging the NASA "family" toward disaster preparedness, and it has some folks concerned, but does it really mean anything substantial?

True also is that the State of California got together with FEMA a few months ago to plan for a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Los Angeles, which some see as the doomsday sign.

Seismologists have stated that the Hayward Fault, in the San Francisco Bay Area, is overdue for a deadly quake, putting Northern California a bit on-edge.

Southern California desert residents are being urged by officials to prepare for an earthquake, though all Californians should always be as prepared as they can be anyway.

Most Californians, however, don't even remember to purchase some extra bottled water, food nor emergency supplies.  We live in a last-minute society, unfortunately.  When disaster strikes, most folks will try and beg off their neighbors --- or worse.

Most feel that FEMA, law enforcement or society in general will take care of them after the hypothetical 10.3 magnitude earthquake that sends chunks of California into the surf.

It seems like the wisest individuals simply accept that life is short and everyone will die someday anyway.

Some extra supplies and some basic spiritual, mental and physical preparedness beforehand makes them feel a little more in control, though they realize they cannot control disasters.  Then, they simply enjoy their remaining days without fear.

Others, though, are getting obsessive about diabolical plots to "sink California" via artificially-induced megaquakes --- and they warn everyone to get out of California.  Where to, though?

Earthquakes can happen anywhere.  There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Still, the California earthquake warnings relentlessly persist.

Herman Cain Wins Straw Poll Landslide

September 24, 2011

Herman Cain won the GOP Straw Poll in the Sunshine State by such a huge landslide that the rules for the 2012 presidential race have all changed.

As Herman Cain wins the Straw Poll with a shocking 22-point lead, the presidential campaigns of former Republican frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney must now regroup.

Michele Bachmann, who got just over 1 percent of votes, must now make some hard decisions.

2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain scored such an upset victory in Florida, a crucial state to any presidential campaign, that any hopes of former Governor Jeb Bush enetering the 2012 race have now vanished.

Herman Cain, who won 37 percent of the vote, is now considered to be a Top Tier presidential candidate.

Cain, a successful business CEO who has never held political office, is seen by many voters as the one presidential candidate who can go toe-to-toe with President Barack Obama without ever being accused of racism or bigotry.

The Herman Cain Straw Poll victory is a devastating disappointment to Rick Perry, whose campaign has been in damage-control mode since the candidate's disappointing performance in Thursday night's GOP debate.

Rick Perry, who used to work for liberal Al Gore, took just 15 percent of the vote, trailing far behind Cain, who won 37 percent. The black Christian conservative's victory was clearly decisive and politically shocking to many.

Florida Governor Rick Scott had predicted ahead of the Straw Poll that the winner of the event would be the next president of the United States.

"Clearly, communicating a strong conservative message directly to Florida and its grassroots voters made a difference today," said the governor today.

Following behind were Mitt Romney (14 percent), Rick Santorum (11 percent), Ron Paul (10 percent), Newt Gingrich (8 percent), Jon Huntsman (2 percent) and Michele Bachmann (1 percent).

"Send Washington a message!" Herman Cain had proclaimed before the vote, bringing the roaring crowd to its feet.

The Florida Straw Poll touts its record of accurately signaling the eventual Republican presidential nominee.

In the three times it has been held, Ronald Reagan won in 1979, George H.W. Bush in 1987 and Bob Dole in 1995. Each was nominated for president the following year.

Could the Hermanator's win foreshadow a 2012 President Herman Cain election day victory?

After Herman Cain won the GOP Straw Poll by a landslide, the candidate was ecstatic as he thanked his supporters for the shocking victory.

"Great day at the straw poll here in Florida!  Ten standing ovations is a clear sign of momentum!"

Governor Gary Johnson EXPOSED

September 22, 2011

Gary Johnson was finally allowed to participate as a 2012 candidate in the FOX/Google GOP Presidential Debate, much to the objection of the Republican Party of Florida.

Beyond his funny soundbite about his neighbor's dogs and Obama, Governor Gary Johnson has a lot of substance and some great accomplishments in running a government as its head of state and chief executive.

Gary Johnson, 58, is an entrepreneur, businessman, competitive athlete and renaissance man in addition to being a two-term Republican governor of the state of New Mexico and a 2012 presidential candidate.

Governor Johnson is known for his small government, low-tax libertarian philosophy and his aggressive use of veto powers thousands of times --- more vetoes than the all U.S. governors combined.

Gary Earl Johnson is a Baby Boomer, born in 1953 to a father who was a public school teacher and a mother who worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico.

As a businessman, Gary Johnson started as a one-man small business entrepreneur, who later became a multimillionaire employer through his contracts with the Intel Corporation of California's Silicon Valley.

When he he sold his company in 1999, it was one of New Mexico's leading construction companies and largest job creators.

Johnson was the first governor of New Mexico to be elected to a second four-year term, winning the Latino vote against a Latino Democratic candidate in a heavily Democratic Latino state. Interesting.

Governor Johnson proposed the first statewide school voucher system in America, refused tax increases, rebuilt the state's roads, shifted Medicaid to managed care, oversaw construction of private prisons, terminated 1,200 state employee positions, and vetoed a record number of bills --- all while cutting taxes 14 times.

During his governorship, Gary Johnson slashed the size of government and left the state with a $1 billion budget surplus.

After his governorship ended, Johnson nearly lost his life in a sporting accident, breaking many bones. For two years, he utilized marijuana for pain management. As a presidential candidate, he advocates legalized medical marijuana nationwide.

Gary Johnson endorsed Ron Paul for the Republican presidential nomination four years ago and, during the FOX/Google debate, he expressed favor toward the congressman as a potential running mate.

Could the now-exposed Johnson, the Republican Party's "dirty little secret", be its greatest asset in 2012? Could he be America's next President Johnson?

Watch the Gary Johnson interview (below) and find out for yourself what the Republican Party does not want you to know about this particular presidential candidate.

Many voters were relieved to see the most fiscally-conservative candidate discussing the nation's issues with his Republican peers in the FOX/Google GOP debate.

California supporters of the Gary Johnson for President campaign finally got to see their candidate participate in the FOX/Google Republican Presidential Debate after he was blocked from previous debates by the Republican Party because he inhaled...

... and because Gary Johnson is not in everyone's pockets.

    Meg Whitman 2011

Meg Whitman, the former eBay CEO and California governor candidate, is back in the spotlight as the new CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

On September 22, the Silicon Valley company named Meg Whitman its president and CEO, replacing Leo Apotheker in an attempt to restore investor confidence in the iconic tech company.

In addition to running her own private foundation, Whitman had joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as a strategic advisor earlier this year.

Whitman is also an advisory board member of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research where she recently moderated a critical issue session on the Long Run Fiscal Outlook.

Prior to her pre-politics CEO stint at eBay, Ms. Whitman held positions at Bain & Company, FTD, Hasbro, Procter & Gamble, Stride Rite and Disney.

While Meg Whitman is currently indicating that she is out of California politics, will the new Hewlett-Packard CEO be a candidate for California governor or another elected position in the future?

"I doubt it.  I'm back in business working," Whitman had said before becoming the current finance chair for the Mitt Romney for President 2012 campaign.

While last year was a busy one for the former California governor candidate, 2011 is a challenging year for Meg Whitman in the area she knows best --- business.

Home Bible Study Illegal Without Permit

California Christians have been fined $300 for holding a home Bible study in San Juan Capistrano, a city founded on belief in Jesus Christ.

The city slapped the illegal Christians, Charles Fromm and Stephanie Fromm, with a $300 fine for not having a government permit to pray in their home with guests.

The City of San Juan Capistrano looks at more than three believers gathered in the Lord's name as an illegal church --- which must be fined and threatened out of existence.

The Fromm family appealed the fine but was told that future fines would be $500 per violation if they continued praying in their home without approval and a government permit.

The City of San Juan Capistrano coldly rejected the Fromm family's appeal.

According to a hearing officer, more than three people meeting for prayer requires government permission. What kind of prayer? To whom? What individuals will be praying together? For what purpose? What is the expected outcome?

The Fromm Family is expected to go through the same expenses, permits and approvals as a church full of worshippers would, including engineering and traffic studies, architectural designs, seismic retrofits and public hearings regarding the need for such a prayer meeting.

Without the permit, the Fromm residence is marked by government officials as an illegal church targeted for closure.

Religious people of faith are outraged, and many of the Fromms' neighbors have written letters of support for the illegal Christians who are guilty of praying for the very leaders who have publicly branded them as outlaws.

The Pacific Justice Institute, a Sacramento-based nonprofit legal defense organization has taken on the Fromm case - pro bono - as a religious freedom case.

Attorney Brad Dacus, the PJI president, is now acting as the Fromms' spokesperson and is "committed to defending this family's home Bible study all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court."

Dacus expressed the shock now being felt by people of faith in California, across the nation and overseas.

"An informal gathering in a home cannot be treated with suspicion by the government, or worse than any other gathering of friends, just because it is religious. We cannot allow this to happen in America."

The Pacific Justice Institute is taking the religious freedom case to the next level by appealing the decision to the California Superior Court in Orange County.

    Pat Boone Rallies Senior Voters

    September 21, 2011

Pat Boone is calling upon all senior citizens to decide the 2012 presidential election, and the Beverly Hills political activist believes it can be done.

A legendary Californian and an American cultural icon, Pat Boone, 77, is tirelessly engaging in press interviews and speeches to let seniors know that they have the power to "take back America."

Boone is the national spokesman for the 60 Plus Association, known as the conservative alternative to AARP.

California's world famous senior activist is speaking out on senior issues, such as age discrimination, social security, the federal estate tax and a more responsible government.

Pat Boone is defiant in today's society, which would rather have senior citizens just sit in a rocking chair and keep quiet.

Pat Boone is not being silent, and he is calling all senior citizens to be brave, speak up, be heard.

The following video is of a current interview with Pat Boone, who believes that seniors have the power to reclaim America, and that 2012 is the year.

    California Earthquake Warning Tests

Early earthquake warning tests are underway as California scientists try out a new warning system to alert the public before a major earthquake.

One early earthquake test shows a map of the state lit up on a computer screen, with a red dot representing an approximate epicenter, then a clock counts down to seismic impact.

Seismologists are working toward creating an earthquake early warning system that sends out public text messages and interrupts TV programs when sensors detect an impending earthquake.

The California quake warning system is engineered to sense initial vibrations after a fault breaks and estimate the magnitude on the Richter scale.

Scientists in the United States are looking to partner with the private business sector to test the system across the nation, utilizing the Southern California Earthquake Center for independent verification of early earthquake warnings.

    California's New Native American Diplomacy

    September 20, 2011

California Governor Jerry Brown will now have an official liason to improve relations with the Native American tribal governments of California.

The governor created a new position of Governor's Tribal Advisor through an Executive Order signed at the All California Tribes Meeting in Sacramento.

In a surprising move contrary to U.S. federal policy, Executive Order B-10-11 does not apply just to federally recognized tribes, but to ALL Native Americans in California.

The state advisor will facilitate diplomatic relations with elected officials from California Indian tribal governments on matters of legislation, policy, regulation, elder health care, cultural safeguards and transportation.

The State of California will henceforth be committed to strengthening and sustaining effective intergovernmental relations between the state government and the tribal governments by identifying mutual concerns as well as developing partnerships and consensus.

Governor Jerry Brown emphasized that the advisor will NOT serve as of a gaming compact negotiator.

The Governor's Tribal Advisor will act as a liaison between tribes and the governor, facilitate communications between the tribes and state agencies, review legislation regarding impacts on tribes, and make recommendations to the governor.

The Office of the Governor will meet regularly with the elected officials of California Indian nations to discuss state policies that may affect tribal communities.

"It is the policy of this Administration that every state agency and department subject to my executive control shall encourage communication and consultation with California Indian Tribes," declared Governor Brown.

No salary expense will be imposed upon California taxpayers for the intergovernmental diplomatic post, which is a NON-PAID position.

The Office of Governor Jerry Brown is currently interviewing candidates for the position of Governor's Tribal Advisor.

    Orly Taitz vs Dianne Feinstein

    September 19, 2011

Orly Taitz, California's bleach blonde Queen of the Birthers, is gearing up to run against Dianne Feinstein for the U.S. Senate in 2012.

Republican Orly Taitz, who failed to win the GOP primary for California secretary of state last year, declared that she is "absolutely" considering a campaign to unseat Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Last year, Taitz got her 15 minutes of fame while loudly promoting her theory that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and therefore is not eligible to serve as president.

Would the same old birther platform from Orly Taitz generate the campaign contributions or mass appeal needed to launch an attractive campaign for the U.S. Senate?

Taitz said a campaign against Dianne Feinstein would "give me a platform to talk about the issues that corrupt establishment... are refusing to talk about."

The erratically shrill conspiracy theorist did not elaborate on exactly which issues were being tight-lipped by the "corrupt establishment", though.

The bleached-out birther from Southern California lost the Republican nomination for secretary of state in last year's primary race to businessman Damon Dunn, suffering a humiliating landslide defeat.

The public did not get behind the barking birther last year, so why would her dissonant message resonate with California voters in 2012?

"I think I do have a chance specifically because I do speak Spanish and I speak Hebrew," Taitz stated from the California Republican Party convention in Los Angeles.

With three times as many brunettes as blondes in California, many might suggest that Senator Dianne Feinstein not yet concede defeat to Orly Taitz, Queen of the Birthers.

Besides, Feinstein could always go blonde.

FEMA Plans for Big L.A. Quake

    September 18, 2011

The State of California has signed an emergency operations plan with the U.S. Government in preparation for a 7.8 Los Angeles area earthquake.

The Southern California Catastrophic Earthquake Plan (CATPLAN) involved more than 1,500 emergency officials working on the response and management plan which affects tens of millions of Southern Californians.

The new, large-scale state and federal joint operation plan outlines the widespread deployment of resources after the next major quake on the southern San Andreas Fault.

Federal Emergency Management Agency Secretary Nancy Ward and California Emergency Management Agency Secretary Matthew Bettenhausen signed the agreement in December, as 2011 approached.

The multi-agency cooperative plan addresses real issues and real consequences in a real catastrophe:
    • Massive civilian casualties
    • Immediate public shelter needs
    • Grand-scale housing requirements
    • Infrastructure failure and calamity
    • Unprecedented economic disruption
    • Continuity of government
    • Communications
"We know that it's not a matter of 'if,' but 'when' the next big earthquake is going to shake California to its core," warned Cal EMA Secretary Matthew Bettenhausen.

"Our number one priority is to ensure we're doing everything we can to be ready for it, and have a carefully-crafted, comprehensive plan in place to enable maximum coordination between federal, state and local agencies."

The agreement signing ceremony was a grim yet necessary event, according to officials.  Many qualified emergency experts worked long and hard to put the massive earthquake plan together.

A giant Los Angeles regional earthquake in 2011 would overwhelm local authorities who, themselves, may be lucky to survive the initial temblor and countless aftershocks.

California's new federal agreement for assistance utilizes the full resources of the U.S. government, its agencies and resources when the inevitable major earthquake strikes Southern California.

Both California and federal authorities are urging Los Angeles area residents to have an individual or family emergency plan in place immediately.

It's the least we can all do in our own homes and neighborhoods.  This is Earthquake Country, after all.

Officials are always compelled to use 'politically correct' language in their advisories to the public.

This California blog is not so compelled, however, so I'll just flat-out say it:

Please don't end up in the streets with your loved ones at the mercy of a crazed population during a cataclysm.  Be responsible and prepare now while you still can.

Get real, get a plan, or get out of L.A.

Ron Paul has won the California Straw Poll in a shocking landslide at the California Republican Party Convention.

Congressman Ron Paul was announced as the winner in front of the GOP convention delegation in Los Angeles by California Republican Party Chairman Tom Del Beccaro.

Among the 11 Republican presidential candidates officially recognized in California, Rep. Ron Paul won the state Straw Poll with a 15-point lead over second-place challenger Rick Perry.

Here are the shocking California Straw Poll results:
    1. Ron Paul - 44.9 %
    2. Rick Perry - 29.3 %
    3. Mitt Romney - 8.8 %
    4. Michele Bachmann - 7.7 %
    5. Jon Huntsman - 2.0 %
    6. Herman Cain - 1.8 %
    7. Newt Gingrich - 1.7 %
    8. Thad McCotter - 0.8 %
    9. Rick Santorum - 0.8 %
    10. Gary Johnson - 0.2 %
    11. Fred Karger - 0.1 %
2012 presidential candidate Ron Paul's surprising upset was unexpected, shocking and disconcerting to many, even within the California GOP leadership.

Even more shocking, Downtown Los Angeles gave the constitutional candidate a phenomenal rock star's welcome worthy of a hero (video below).

It is the most shocking political victory of the year, causing many jaws to drop to the floor in shock.  California has more voters than anywhere in America, after all.

Have all the "rules" suddenly changed?

Ron Paul won the California Straw Poll by a landslide, so it appears that the Godfather of the Tea Party movement has, at long last, realized a political California Dream.

    Agenda 21 California

Agenda 21 is a United Nations initiative most Californians have never heard of, one that many see as one of the greatest threats to property ownership and individual rights.

    Has socialism invaded California?

Most Californians are focused on Obama, Congress and the 2012 election, unaware of the collectivist socialism that many say has infiltrated California through Agenda 21.

    What is Agenda 21?

Agenda 21 is a U.N. initiative that 178 government officials adopted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 to supposedly save the environment under the banner of "sustainability."

Human rights watchers warn that Agenda 21 is actually about stripping states' rights and national sovereignty.  A master-planned global economy and redistribution of wealth are said to be the true goals of the 'green agenda'.

For the U.N. to invade individuals' lives, property and possessions through top-down control is a threat to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and every state constitution, Agenda 21 critics say.

Special interest groups and official-sounding government groups are reportedly descending on local government and controlling it through non-elected boards and non-elected councils that do not see any need for accountability to voters nor taxpayers.

Congress has not yet approved the implementation of Agenda 21, though President Barack Obama signed an executive order to implement it.

Through local planning programs like 'smart growth', land use policies and 'green' building codes, Agenda 21 is said to usurp sovereignty, property rights and economic liberty, while handing over power and individually-owned real estate to elitists who were never elected by The People.

Under the guise of "saving the earth", Agenda 21 actually enforces wealth redistribution, resource redistribution, food redistribution, energy restrictions and land redistribution, according to its detractors.

After working for years to purchase, develop and enjoy the independence of privately-owned real estate, could Californians actually be ordered to give their home and property to the global state?

Agenda 21 watchdogs say it is already beginning to happen in California.

The U.N. will not admit to imposing the 'green' agenda but, rather, will state that it is being imposed by local elected officials who are being misled by radical environmentalists and their urban planners.

Critics warn that Agenda 21 is all about centralized global governance that aims to take what you've got and dole it out to others.

That defines socialism, California, so the following video should shock the hell out of you.

    African American Farmers of California

    September 17, 2011

The African American Farmers of California is a project to revive the pride of black farmers and increase the number of black-owned farms across the state.

In California, black farmers are less common than they are in the Southern states. There are tens of thousands of farms in California, yet black-owned farms make up only a small percentage.

Farming advocate Will Scott Jr., President of the African American Farmers of California, is working to see things change in California's agricultural landscape --- one farmer at a time.

Established in 2004 and incorporated in Fresno, the African American Farmers of California organization provides black Californians with land to farm, it holds workshops in agriculture, and it trains young Californians in gardening.

"A lot of black people, their grandparents were farmers but they were forced out of agriculture. We're trying to help them easily re-enter into it. The goal is that they eventually become self-sufficient," declares Scott.

The African American Farmers of California started an organic farm in Fresno, using a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The AAFC leases the farmland from the County of Fresno, and participating farmers pay a nominal $200-$300 annually to use their learned skills to farm the land, plus irrigation costs.

    About the AAFC President

Will Scott Jr. is a California transplant, whose family moved to California from Oklahoma in 1952, when Scott was a teenager.

His grandfather was a sharecropper, and his father picked grapes and cotton in California's Central Valley.

After 30 years of work as an engineer for one of California's largest corporations, Will Scott retired a decade ago.

Upon retirement, he got into gardening, then farming and, ultimately, farming advocacy.

Today, Will Scott, Jr. is a man on a mission, determined to keep the legacy of African American farmers alive and growing in the Golden State.

    AAFC Black Farmer Training

The Fresno-based African American Farmers of California organization has doubled its membership since it opened a 16-acre demonstration farm, which serves as a testing area where new farmers can get hands-on experience growing a variety of produce.

At the Central Valley training farm, newbies learn everything from how to drive a tractor to how to irrigate their crops.

Many of them are now selling their own produce at farmers' markets from the Bay Area to Los Angeles.

"We bring in new farmers and existing farmers and we do all sorts of training. They can lease an acre or two and grow something and then they take the technology back to their farms."

    Black Farming and Kids

"I enjoy spending time with kids because they are the future and, if you expose them to something positive, something vital to our existence, they'll grab hold of it and really take control. That's what we need."

"One of my questions I like to ask them is, 'Does this grow above ground or below?' and they'll turn around and ask, 'Do you know the nutritional value of that?' They'll turn around and quiz me! They really are amazing and a pleasure to have out to the farm."

"Agriculture is a multi-billion dollar industry, and our youth needs to be brought into it so they can play a part in it."

    Southern-Style Produce

One of Scott's goals is to reintroduce Southern specialty crops, part of the traditional African American diet, into black communities, to help stop the obesity and diabetes epidemics.

"The nutritional value of this food was passed down the generations. It helped build our immune system; kept us healthy and strong. We hope to pass it on to sustain the next generation."

    Growing Interest in Black Farming

Will Scott Jr.'s efforts have been assisted by U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama's interest in farming. Seeing the first lady on her hands and knees, working in her garden, changes the concept of farming that many black people have.

Black farming had carried negative connotations for many African Americans due to the legacies of slavery, sharecropping and past discriminatory government policies, but Scott urges California's black farmers to rise above.

"You're on the other side now. You're not a worker, but an owner. You work for yourself. There's a pleasure in seeing things grow and when other people enjoy the fruit of your labor."

"We need to make sure African-American farmers are visible because, for a long time, we've been invisible. We, as a people, have played a tremendous part in agriculture throughout the U.S."

"If we can get the message across about supporting a variety of farmers, and get more people interested and taking quality food to where it should be, then I've done my job. This is what I was born to do."

#1 California Poem on the Internet Exclusively on Californiality.com

    "I AM CALIFORNIA"

I am the creative genesis persisting amid chaos; the idea made manifest.

I am the eternal state of "becoming".

Ever changing, morphing and mutating, my essence reflects the mind of my Creator.

Purity, perfection and productivity are my principles.

I am innovation; the perennially new. I am relentless forward momentum.

I am the unity of the spiritual, the mental and the physical. I am symmetry and balance.

I am the created who recreates; the blessed who blesses; the beloved who loves without prejudice.

I am expression; the vision seen; the voice heard; the thought interpreted.

Races, religions and cultures are my colors, hues and shades. Variety is my lifeblood.

I am the portrait of humanity which beckons an impassioned brush stroke from every hand.

I am relationship; always conversing, sharing, belonging, reciprocating, accepting and providing.

I am contrary; an oasis in the desert; order from chaos; beauty from ashes; hope from despair; unity from diversity; light from darkness.

I am information, communication, technology and intelligence always seeking Wisdom.

Ever the student of the Eternal, I instruct willing minds through my failures and successes.

I am the experience; the be-in; the adventure; the journey; the trip. I am interactivity and participation.

I am the ultimate; the zenith; the apex; the extreme; the max. Limitless minds are my companions into the timeless unknown.

I am to be merged with; not to simply be admired from afar. My visions are to be shared; my dreams are to be realized; my desires are to be consummated.

I am the fruit of ambition, effort and achievement. I am the rarest wine to be tasted, savored and thoroughly enjoyed, not merely collected.

Golden, priceless and breathtaking, I am the star-studded dream, the quaking vision, and the imagination on fire.

    I am California.
