"California" BNR

"California" is a 2012 neo-psychedelic instrumental rock song by the avant-garde experimental band BNR from Portland, Oregon.

A track from the album And This Time C, the alternative band's ode to California is a bizarre trip into the collective unconscious with the slow-burning angst of a modern Occupy protest.

This particular rock band's sound and feel are difficult to explain, but very cool nonetheless.  Strangely trippy, indeed.

It is no surprise that the members of BNR are influenced by 'heavy' rock bands like Pink Floyd and Soundgarden.

"BNR is not normal," says the band.  "Most people think of us as a very drug-oriented group. Of course we're not. You can trust us."

Trust aside, BNR's vibe is a lot heavier than a soft drink, dude, totally.

BNR consists of multi-instrumentalists David E. Boyle, Dave Norman and Regan Roberts.  Musician Jason Chastain joined BNR on guitar in the studio for the recording of "California."

Perfect for psychedelic trippers, "California" by BNR is one of the grooviest California songs of the 21st century.
