"Hotel California" TQ

"Hotel California" is a 2012 soul-rock remake of the Eagles classic song by R&B singer and hip-hop recording artist TQ from Compton, California.
With musical influences that include Mary J. Blige, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, 2Pac, NWA, Dr. Dre and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, TQ's vocal talent shines in a daring remake of the Eagles' megahit "Hotel California" that is superbly soulful.
TQ, who was born in 1976 when the song was originally recorded, does such a great job with "Hotel California" that the song sounds like it was freshly created in 2012.
Paying close enough attention to detail, however, TQ honored the feel which songwriters Don Felder, Don Henley and Glenn Frey originally intended, which is not easy.
The music video (below) for "Hotel California" was directed by Sith Nuon --- with a guitarist that rocks.
Born Terrance Quaites, TQ started his music career as an A&M Records intern, eventually becoming the lead singer of the 1990s band Coming of Age before enjoying his current career as a solo artist.
After two decades in the music business, TQ is known as "The Crown Prince of California Soul."
One of the best remakes ever of one of the best songs about California, "Hotel California" by TQ is the first single from the upcoming album, Legendary.
