National Gun Appreciation Day
Jan 19, 2013
Gun Appreciation Day took place nationwide on January 19th, 2013 as American gun lovers came together to support gun stores, shooting ranges, gun shows, and the Second Amendment.
Gun Appreciation Day was put together by a coalition of gun rights groups and conservative groups in defense of the constitutional right to bear arms.
The national firearms event occurred as U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) prepared to introduce gun control legislation for a federal assault weapons ban.
Many gun owners nationwide supported the gun appreciation event as part of a national conversation on gun control, gun rights, and the Second Amendment.
Numerous pro-gun groups participated in Gun Appreciation Day 2013, the largest gun rights gathering in U.S. history.
Supporters of the Founding Fathers, the U.S. Constitution, and Ronald Reagan turned out in communities across America for the first-of-its-kind national gathering.
Gun owners and gun rights advocates from all 50 states helped to make Gun Appreciation Day a success which organizers say will lead to a 2nd event next year.
