New David Bowie Music 2013

Jan 8, 2013

David Bowie has released his first new song in a decade, "Where Are We Now?" --- synchronized with the iconic singer-songwriter's 66th birthday today.

A provocative and iconoclastic artiste extraordinaire, David Bowie leaves nothing to chance.  Bowie's new song for 2013 is no exception to the rule.

"Where Are We Now?" returns the focus of attention on Germany, the political and economic engine of the European Union, without saying too much.

David Bowie says plenty, however.

"Where Are We Now?" is a cryptic song, and the accompanying music video (below) by American artist Tony Oursler is eerily bizarre.

One must know David Bowie, recall history, and intuitively sense where society is headed in order to comprehend what Bowie's new song and video are saying.

"Ziggy Stardust would have it no other way," declares The Changeling.

Over the last decade, Bowie fans around the world have wondered what music history's most complex recording artist has been up to.

The avant-garde icon has been intensely studying events, agendas, movements and scenarios.

David Bowie has now resurfaced in 2013 with a new vision and a new album, The Next Day, which will be released in time for the Ides of March.

David Bowie is back with a vengeance.
