New Jerry Lewis Movie

Jan 15, 2013

Megastar actor and comedian Jerry Lewis is back to work in Hollywood filming his new movie, Max Rose.

After two decades away from the silver screen, Jerry Lewis landed the starring role in the new film, a drama written and directed by Daniel Noah.

Lewis, 86, portrays Max Rose, a jazz pianist who is recently widowed after a half-century of marriage.

Lewis' character discovers a secret that forces him to question his entire marriage, reexamine his past and confront issues of aging.

Tinseltown buzz is that Lewis' 2013 movie role may be the one that finally earns the Hollywood legend an Oscar for Best Actor (and gives the Academy Awards broadcast its highest ratings).

In his comeback film, Jerry Lewis stars with talented actors Claire Bloom, Kevin Pollak and Kerry Bishe, along with legendary actor and comedian Mort Sahl.

Said by insiders to be confrontational and emotionally dramatic, Max Rose began shooting in Los Angeles this morning.  The release date has not yet been announced.

An internationally popular comedian, actor, director and producer, Jerry Lewis has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6821 Hollywood Boulevard.
